The Bizzy Buddyz OSCAR programme has for many years been the most popular after school childcare service in Whakatāne and caters for primary and intermediate school aged children from 5-13 years of age. The OSCAR programme is a great place for your children to spend their time with great activities and plenty of supervision to make their stay safe at all times.

Our staff members have many years of experience working with children from all different backgrounds and are dedicated to making the programme exciting and inviting to the children that attend.

Our rules to ensure programmes operate smoothly

  • The Programme Supervisor will be in attendance at the programme during operational hours.
  • The Supervisor role must be carried out by an adult over the age of 20 years. Staff counted for the staff/child ratio must be 16 years of age or older.
  • The minimum ratios of staff to children are one to ten children on-site and one staff member to eight children off site and one to six around water activities.
  • There will always be at least two staff members present at the Centre at all times.
