After School Care in Whakatāne
The Bizzy Buddyz OSCAR Programme provides after school care for primary and intermediate school-aged children from 5–13 years.
With great activities, experienced staff and plenty of supervision, the programme provides an exciting and welcoming place for children to spend their afternoons.
The Bizzy Buddyz OSCAR Programme
The Bizzy Buddyz OSCAR Programme has been providing after school childcare in Whakatāne for many years, catering for children aged 5–13 years.
Our staff members have many years of experience working with children from different backgrounds and are dedicated to making the programme exciting and inviting for the children who attend.
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday
2.30pm – 5.30pm

Looking for School Holiday Care?
Bizzy Buddyz also offers a School Holiday Programme.
Our Programme Supervision
The Programme Supervisor will be in attendance during programme operational hours.
The Supervisor role is carried out by an adult over the age of 20 years. Staff counted for the staff/child ratio are 16 years of age or older.
Minimum staff-to-child ratios are 1:10 on-site, 1:8 off-site and 1:6 around water activities.
There will always be at least two staff members present at the Centre.
Bizzy Buddyz OSCAR Programme is Oranga Tamariki approved.
WINZ Childcare Subsidy
Many families may be eligible for a WINZ OSCAR Subsidy.
